The Eadrainn in Irish follows this explanation of why we have made it available on-line:

Cape Clear December 2010  -  A rare snowy scene.

Cape Clear is a Gaeltacht (Irish Speaking) area and we are rightly proud of this but, from an holistic standpoint, we have long recognised that we need to do more to ensure our outpourings are as inclusive as we can make them, and perhaps, go a little way towards helping the less fluent Irish speaker among us gain an improved understanding of our beautiful language.  Some members of our community are not fluent enough to enjoy the Eadrainn in its entirety; this blog has been created to help them through their learning curve but we hope too that it will be enjoyed by the whole of our community.

We also know that neighbour will continue to help neighbour with the occasional ad hoc session where the Eadrainn can be read with the aim of gaining further improvement in language skills.

The thing to note is that the ability to improve has to lie with the student rather than the 'teacher' ...if the desire is there the achievement will surely follow!

Final note: If you do choose to use Google it will try to translate this preamble into English but as it is already in English the result is entertaining.
